At UFC 225 in June of 2018, CM Punk lost to Mike Jackson via unanimous decision but that result has since been overturned.

Other than the Mike Jackson fight, Phil “CM Punk” Brooks had one other loss on his record and that was to Mickey Gall in 2016. MMA Junkie learned through a Freedom of Information Act request and confirmation from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation that Punk now only has one loss on his record, due to a positive marijuana test from Mike Jackson on fight day.

The decision for the UFC 225 bout has been ruled a no contest. The overturning was not reported publicly until now. On the night of UFC 225, Jackson tested positive for “tetrahydrocannabinol due to marijuana”.

Along with Jackson’s win being overturned, he was suspended three months. It is not known if Jackson was disciplined any further.

Chris Slaby, Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation public information officer issued the following statement to MMA Junkie:

The official result of a full contact martial arts bout can be changed to a ‘no contest’ as an outcome of an adverse post-bout disciplinary finding against a contestant. As detailed in the consent order provided, Mr. Jackson tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol due to marijuana following the June 9, 2018 UFC event at the United Center in Chicago.

UFC 225 in 2018 was the last fight that both Punk and Jackson have had.
