Natalya gives a timetable for her return to the ring.

Coming out of last week’s Monday Night Raw, Natalya announced that she underwent ankle surgery. She and Tamina took on Eva Marie and Doudrop (Piper Niven) and the injury occurred as Niven was going through a series of transitions with Natalya and then Natalya’s leg was rolled over during a transition.

Tamina and Natalya have not been stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Titles and just days after surgery, Natalya is off crutches. She and Tamina joined D-Von Dudley’s Table Talk podcast and Natalya stated that she expects to be cleared to return in just under a month.

When I will be back? Hopefully soon, hopefully soon. I mean I… for me, the surgery, just to be totally transparent, the surgery was Friday. I was walking with no crutches three days later. I still have to get my stitches out. I probably have another week until I get my stitches out. I’ve gotta let some bone heal a little bit but, I think probably in the next little bit like maybe under a month so, we’ll see but obviously I have to make sure I get doctor’s clearance and all that but, Tamina and I are not letting these babies [WWE Women’s Tag Titles] go anytime soon so we’re holding onto these bad boys as long as we can. You’re gonna have to fight me tooth and nail to get this.

She dove into the details of the surgery and said she had screws inserted into her ankle. At the time of the show recording, she was two days away from running on a treadmill.

I had ankle surgery five days ago so I’m just healing from all that but, I am two days away from running on a treadmill so I’m very, very excited about that. I’m just trying to be careful because I had some screws and stuff, things drilled into my bones but I still need to be careful but, having this gold, having these championships. It’s such a motivation to get back. Of course we’re so excited to have our WWE fans back. We have SmackDown in Tampa this week where I live and then we have SummerSlam in just a few weeks so, we’re excited. Both shows are close to being sold out. It’s just to be able to get back with fans and just feel the energy, feel the love, feel all of it.

When Natalya alerted the public that she underwent surgery, she noted in the caption that her surgeon described her as an “anomaly”.

Tamina was in action this past Monday on Raw and defeated Doudrop in singles competition. The current #1 contenders to the Women’s Tag Team Titles are SmackDown’s Shotzi Blackheart and Nox.
