Brian Myers versus Christian Cage is official for Emergence.
Opening the debut episode of AEW Rampage was Christian Cage challenging Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship. Cage won the title after hitting the ‘Unprettier’ on Omega onto a chair.
With that title win, Cage is now heading to IMPACT Wrestling’s Emergence event to defend the title against Brian Myers. IMPACT formally made the announcement after Christian’s championship victory.

This past Thursday on IMPACT’s AXS show, Brian Myers won a Battle Royal to earn his shot at the IMPACT World Championship. He eliminated Moose and Chris Sabin at the same time to win the match. As of this writing, here’s the updated Emergence lineup:
- X Division Championship: Josh Alexander (c) vs. Jake Something
- IMPACT Tag Team Championships — Three-Way Match: The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) (c) vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs. Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, Rhino or Joe Doering)
- Steve Maclin vs. Petey Williams
- IMPACT World Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs. Brian Myers
