Jeff Parker and Matt Lee enjoyed going through their free agency period.

After spending several years with WWE, 2point0 (Matt Lee & Jeff Parker) were released from the company in June and just two months later, they appeared on AEW programming and aligned with Daniel Garcia.

Thus far, the trio has been involved in matches and segments with CM Punk, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Sting and Darby Allin. Prior to the All Out pay-per-view, Lee and Parker did a Q&A on their YouTube channel and shared that they had talks with IMPACT Wrestling and a deal was on the table.

Lee: ‘Did IMPACT offer us a contract’?

Parker: Um, you know, we uh..

Lee: There was a deal on the table.

Parker: There was some talks. We had talks all over the place. Free agency was actually a lot of fun. It’s scary at first but it was a lot of fun.

They went on to explain why they decided on the 2point0 name instead of using ‘3.0’ or another number. The pair explained that it was simply because Tony Khan liked the name and they wanted to get back to 2point0 (2.0), which is the name they used when they first got into wrestling in the early 2000s.

Lee: The reason, truth be told, Tony Khan liked 2point0.

Parker: And another part of it too is like we went through so many different changes in a short amount of time. Like different names and all these kind of things so it’s just like you know what? Let’s just get back to us.

Lee: And that’s who we are. We’re 2point0.

AEW’s All Out pay-per-view featured the arrivals of Ruby Soho, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole. To hear John Pollock and Wai Ting break down the show, head over to their All Out review which is available to watch on the POST Wrestling YouTube channel.
