WWE has issued an update regarding executive Paul Levesque, who underwent a procedure last week for a genetic heart issue following “a cardiac event”.

In a release for the public, WWE stated the following:

Paul Levesque a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery.

Levesque is 52-years old and has not wrestled a match since June 2019.

WWE did not indicate the length of the recovery period or how this may affect any of his duties in the short term.

NXT has not produced any live shows in recent weeks with the previous three episodes being taped last month for the USA Network. The brand is set for a revamp that will go into effect next Tuesday with a live episode from the Capitol Wrestling Center (WWE Performance Center).

We wish Levesque a speedy and full recovery.
