WWE NXT 2.0 notes: Franky Monet vs. Raquel Gonzalez, Women’s Tag Titles, Kyle O’Reilly

Notes coming out the second episode of NXT 2.0 on the USA Network

There are three title matches scheduled for the 9/28 NXT 2.0. It was already made official that new NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong is putting his title on the line against Grayson Waller. In addition to that bout, Franky Monet is challenging Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Title. Toxic Addiction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacey Jane are getting a shot at the Women’s Tag Titles when they meet the champions Io Shirai and Zoey Stark.

The main event of the show saw Bron Breakker and NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa defeat Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne. Kyle O’Reilly ambushed Holland during the match. Holland and Dunne attacked O’Reilly last week which caused him to be removed from the four-way match for the vacant NXT Championship.

Following their wedding ceremony, on next week’s program, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis are going to have their honeymoon.

Dante Chen (Sean Tan), who reported to the WWE Performance Center over the Summer made his NXT in-ring debut and defeated Trey Baxter. After Baxter’s loss, his relationship with fellow NXT talent Cora Jade was acknowledged and she gave him a pep talk.

To kick off NXT 2.0, there was a segment involving a multitude of talents. Pete Dunne came down to the ring and gave the new faces of NXT the same advice that was given to him which was “make a name for yourself.”

Tesha Price, who is a regular on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation was defeated by Elektra Lopez. Elektra will be back in action next week as she and Hit Row’s B-FAB will meet in a No-DQ match. Also, Lash Legend is hosting her ‘Lashing Out’ segment next week.
