Toru Yano has one more match to win if he wants to end the year as the KOPW 2021 champion.

Yano will defend the crown against Yoshinobu Kanemaru on New Japan’s final card of 2021 at Korakuen Hall on December 24th.

The match will be ‘Year-End Party Rules’ where the wrestlers will have a normal match but have to take a drink at two-minute intervals.

After each drink is completed, the wrestlers will have to respond to the count of 20 administered by the referee. If a wrestler fails to respond by the end of the count, they will lose. You can also lose by pin, submission, or disqualification.

There will be a fan vote to determine which alcohol is chosen for the match. Yano’s selection is Japanese sake while Kanemaru’s is whiskey.
