John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, NXT UK, IMPACT Wrestling, 205 Live, NJPW Strong, NWA Powerrr, Ring of Honor, and Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.
This week on AEW Dark, Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss finally have their long awaited big match in a no disqualification, no count out, no rules main event. We also get Tony Nese vs. Anthony Green, Orange Cassidy & Wheeler Yuta vs. Peter Avalon & Cezar Bononi and Shawn Spears tells Wardlow to relax with all the power bombs.
ROH has what was described as their ‘final show in this era’ with a Holiday Special, as Rok-C defends her Women’s Championship against Holidead, as well as Josh Woods and Brian Johnson both leading a team of mystery partners in a 12-man Christmas Surprise main event.
On AEW Dark: Elevation, we see such matches as Matt Hardy vs. Darius Lockhart, Shawn Spears vs. Lee Moriarty, Gunn Club vs. Dark Order as well as Thunder Rosa and Jade Cargill having one final interaction before their TBS Title Semi-Final match on Dynamite.
Also, Damon Kemp debuts on 205 Live, Veer Mahaan faces T-Bar on Main Event as he still tries to find his way to Monday Night Raw, and NXT UK, IMPACT Wrestling, NJPW Strong and NWA Powerrr all recap 2021 with Best Of shows.
