KENTA suffered several injuries during the no disqualification match with Hiroshi Tanahashi and is off Saturday’s card at the Yokohama Arena.

In an update from NJPW, they stated that the performer sustained a dislocated left hip, a broken nose, tendon damage to his finger, and severe lacerations to his back.

There was a scary spot in the match where KENTA was knocked off a giant ladder and crashed face-first onto a trash can on the mat and was busted open from the fall. The match ended shortly after the fall with Tanahashi executing a High Fly Flow off the large ladder and putting KENTA through a table with the move.

KENTA was set to team with Takashi Sugiura & Kazushi Sakuraba on Saturday’s Wrestle Kingdom 16 card at Yokohama Arena against Minoru Suzuki, Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. A mystery partner will replace KENTA in the contest.

There was no timetable listed for KENTA’s recovery.
