At the conclusion of the “Hardcore War” at Hard to Kill, a contingent of recent Ring of Honor affiliated talents stormed the ring.

The team of Rhino, Heath, Willie Mack, Rich Swann & Eddie Edwards won the Hardcore War against Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Eric Young, Joe Doering & Deaner in a match that went over twenty-three minutes.

Moments later, the babyfaces were attacked by a group of recent talents with Ring of Honor that included Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Vincent, and PCO. Maria Kanellis appeared at the end of the attack as the group posed in the ring with the announcers asking if this was an invasion.

IMPACT authority figure Scott D’Amore was immediately asked by interviewer Gia Miller if he had any knowledge of this and he said he found out like everyone else and is going to “call Baltimore”.

All the performers that invaded were affiliated with Ring of Honor, which went on hiatus after last month’s Final Battle pay-per-view. Talent contracts were set to expire at the end of 2021 and early 2022. PCO became a free agent at the beginning of December.
