Moxley returning to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is debuting in Illinois on April 16th as they’ll be presenting their ‘Windy City Riot’ event from the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois. Names such as Will Ospreay, Yuji Nagata, Tomohiro Ishii and Jay White are scheduled to appear and New Japan shared that Jon Moxley is joining the freight as well.

The former IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion has not competed under the New Japan banner since October of 2021 when he and Eddie Kingston took on Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer at a STRONG taping in Philadelphia.

Moxley’s 500-plus day reign as IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion was ended by Lance Archer last summer in a Texas Death match.

Next week on AEW Dynamite, Archer is going to challenge Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Title in a Texas Death match.
