Taya Valkyrie returns to AAA, becomes #1 contender to Reina de Reinas Title

Taya Valkyrie is back in AAA and she secured herself a shot at Deonna Purrazzo's Reina de Reinas Championship

Taya Valkyrie back in AAA.

At tonight’s AAA Rey de Reyes event, Taya Valkyrie made her return to the company and competed in a five-way match involving herself, Maravilla, Flammer, Shani and Keyra.

Taya secured the victory in her return match and with that win, she earned a shot at the Reina de Reinas Title which is currently in Deonna Purrazzo’s possession.

Prior to tonight, Valkyrie was last in action for AAA in January 2020. The following year, Valkyrie signed with WWE and she debuted in NXT after TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. She was released in November 2021.

Taya’s significant other, John Morrison is going to be challenging Hijo del Vikingo for the Mega Championship in the Rey de Reyes main event.
