Buddy Matthews is All Elite.

The former WWE performer made his debut with AEW during Wednesday’s Dynamite broadcast as the latest addition to the House of Black.

Matthews appeared in the ring after the lights went out and stared down Malakai Black while the announcers mentioned their history. As Matthew circled around the ring, he aligned with Black and Brody King to attack Penta El Zero Miedo and PAC ending with a curb stomp by Matthews that sent Penta into a chair.

Matthews worked for WWE from 2013 until he was cut among many releases in June 2021. During that run, he performed as Buddy Murphy and later, just as Murphy.

He was the holder of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, the Raw tag titles with Seth Rollins, and won the NXT tag titles with Wesley Blake.

After leaving the company, he wrestled Kazuchika Okada last November at NJPW Strong’s Battle in the Valley event in San Jose, California.
