WWE’s Clash at the Castle event, scheduled for Saturday, September 3rd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, has surpassed the 60,000 mark in ticket sales.

Tracking service WrestleTix placed the number of tickets distributed as of this weekend at 60,239. The Principality Stadium will reportedly be set up for a capacity of 71,810, leaving 11,517 tickets still available.

WWE had reported 59,000 pre-registrations in the first 24 hours after the event was announced in April this year, a company record, leading some to expect a swift sell-out. However, WrestleMania-level ticket priceswere thought to have dampened initial interest.

The event will mark the first large-scale stadium event run by WWE in the UK since SummerSlam 1992, which was held at Wembley Stadium, London.
