AEW Rampage attracted its largest audience since April for a show promoted around Bryan Danielson’s appearance following his loss to Daniel Garcia last month.

The August 12th show from Raleigh averaged 528,000 viewers and approximately 222,000 (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

It marks the highest audience for Rampage since April 8th for a show where Jon Moxley wrestled Wheeler Yuta and Bryan Danielson took on Trent Beretta.

The 18-49 audience was the show’s strongest since April 22nd and led to Rampage finishing #10 among cable originals on Friday, which was led by the NFL pre-season game coverage on the NFL Network.

In the 18-49 demo, male viewership grew by 16 percent while females increased by ten percent.

The largest gain from the previous week was seen among adults 35-49, which grew by 26 percent this week.

Adults 18-34 did not reflect the areas of growth, dropping by 11 percent this week.

Friday’s taped edition of the show included Danielson’s appearance at the beginning of the show and being confronted by Daniel Garcia to promote their two-of-three falls match this Wednesday. The show also saw Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship against Dante Martin & Skye Blue and was headlined by Orange Cassidy beating Ari Daivari of The Trustbusters.
