Jake Paul threw out an early estimate for the pay-per-view buys that his fight with Anderson Silva is expected to generate.

While appearing on his brother Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, the younger Paul stated he expects the buys to come in at around 200-300,000, which he stated was kind of “upsetting”.

Adding context to the number, Paul believes that the hype for the fight was derailed after an interview surfaced last week from MMA Weekly where Silva claimed he was knocked out twice in training. The interview was conducted in September but only released last week with Silva later clarifying that he misspoke with the commission in Arizona investigating the matter.

Paul said the pre-show buys halted after that news dropped with his belief that people were skeptical the fight would take place after previous fights with Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. fell apart.

Paul went on to state that it was a bad time of the year to fight with the World Series and NFL football taking place and that he would only fight in the summer moving forward.

Paul defeated Silva by unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, and improved to 6-0 as a professional boxer.
