Tony Khan was asked several questions at Thursday’s media call regarding the incidents at All Out that saw several key performers removed from programming.

Reporter Jon Alba had the first question on the call and asked about the investigation into the backstage altercation involving CM Punk, Ace Steel, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks and the eventual clearance of The Elite members to return. Khan stated he could not comment on the investigation and opted to speak about the match involving The Elite against Death Triangle at Full Gear, which was announced on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics inquired about the status of CM Punk, who reportedly suffered a torn triceps during his match at All Out with Jon Moxley prior to his comments at the press conference and backstage altercation. Khan said he could not comment on the status of Punk but applauded his contributions to the company.

At the end of the call, Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc. asked Khan whether he was aware of what Punk was going to say at the press conference and why Khan didn’t interject and stop him. Khan stated he wasn’t aware of what Punk would say and that he was focused on the upcoming media availability with Swerve in Our Glory and Khan’s role in helping to facilitate the rematch with The Acclaimed several weeks later at AEW Grand Slam.

Following Punk’s media availability where he took aim at Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and the “EVPs”, he was involved in a fight with Omega, The Young Bucks with Steel at his side. All parties were sent home after the incident with Steel eventually being let go from his role as a producer. Punk kept a low profile until appearing last week at a CFFC event where he called the action alongside John Morgan, a role Punk has held for many years with the MMA promotion.

It was confirmed on Wednesday’s broadcast of Dynamite that Omega and The Young Bucks will return at Full Gear in a match against Death Triangle, which had been teased for several weeks.
