Sami Zayn turned on his closest friend Kevin Owens in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series to deliver the win to The Bloodline.

In the early going, the match included friction between Jey Uso and Sami Zayn, including a confrontation between the pair that allowed Butch time to deliver a moonsault onto both.

Later, Jey Uso would accidentally deliver a superkick to Zayn.

Given the competitors involved, the match was predictably physical, including the Brawling Brutes and Kevin Owens all delivering (more than) 10 Beats of the Bodhrán simultaneously to the entire Bloodline.

During most of the match, direct confrontation between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens was minimal. However, a turning point was reached when Zayn stopped the referee from counting to three after Owens delivered the Stunner to Reigns.

Zayn then hit Owens with a low blow, seemingly regretting his actions, but then delivered the Helluva Kick to Owens, leaving him laying for Jey Uso to pick up the pin after a splash.

After the match, Zayn was embraced by Reigns and Jey Uso, to the seeming delight of most of the crowd.

Sami Zayn’s performance in the match was tremendous, leaving viewers guessing as to where his allegiance lay until the finish.
