NJPW Super Jr. Tag League: Five teams tied for first place following card in Nagano

There is a five-way tie for first place following Monday’s Super Jr. Tag League matches in Nagano.

After five matches each, the teams of Franceso Akira & TJP, Lio Rush & YOH, Chris & Ace Austin, BUSHI & Titan, and Alex Zayne &^ El Lindaman all hold records of 4-1 with eight points per team.

Monday’s show saw Lio Rush & YOH hand Bey & Austin their first loss of the round-robin tournament with Rush pinning Bey after hitting Final Hour in the fifteen-minute match.

Titan & Bushi also moved to the eight-point mark after beating DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaruo, who remain winless at 0-5.

Alex Zayne & El Lindman prevailed against Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask after Zayne used the Cinnamon Twist on Tiger to improve their record to 4-1.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Champions TJP & Francesco Akira beat SHO & Dick Togo, who also remains at zero points with their 0-5 record, thus far.

Finally, Clark Connors & Ryusuke Taguchi defeated KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight after Connors used the Trophy Kill on Knight. Connors & Taguchi improve to 2-2 with four points while KUSHIDA & Knight have fallen to 1-3 with two points.

The Super Jr. Tag League tournament matches resume on Friday in Osaka with the following matches:
*TJP & Francesco Akira vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Clark Connors
*BUSHI & Titan vs. El Lindaman & Alex Zayne
*Ace Austin & Chris Bey vs. Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask
*Lio Rush & YOH vs. SHO & Dick Togo
*Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI vs. KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight

Both the Super Jr. Tag League and World Tag League tournaments conclude on Wednesday, December 14th with both finals scheduled for Sendai.
