Scramble Match: Nick Wayne vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Alec Price vs. Cole Radrick vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Titus Alexander

The match starts with all of the competitors executing a cartwheel before they eventually locked up and started the match. Price took a sneak shot at Cole Radrick which prompted a flurry of offense that saw all of the competitors take a shot at one another. They then went to a spot where each man had the chance to evade the other’s high-flying maneuvers which eventually led to a stalemate. From there the match broke down into your typical Scramble match offense which saw each man getting the chance to shine. After executing a series of double team maneuvers onto Titus Alexander, Oliver and Wayne then turned their attention to Jack Cartwheel who took out Oliver with a crucifix bomb and took out Wayne with a Poisonrana; this led to Jack Cartwheel hitting a twisting Shooting Star Press to all of the competitors on the floor. Back in the ring, Nick Wayne and Cole Radrick faced off with Nick Wayne getting the best of the situation as he took out Radrick with another Poisonrana. Wayne’s advantage didn’t last too long as Titus Alexander took him out, and got the first near fall of the match. Wayne eventually recovered and attempted a move off the top rope but Cole Radrick cut him off and hit a moonsault of his own onto his opponents on the floor. All of the competitors took their turns hitting their impressive high-flying offense to the floor with Titus Alexander coming out on top and securing a near fall on Alec Price after a Double Foot Stomp. Jack Cartwheel scored the pin after a Shooting Star Press.

Jack Cartwheel wins the Scramble

Singles Match: Matt Cardona vs. Starboy Charlie

Before the match, Matt Cardona cut a promo that was unintelligible due to the poor sound mixing at the Ukrainian Cultural Center. I hope they get the audio issues figured out before the UCC hosts The Collective this spring. Right after the bell rang Matt Cardona bailed to the floor to antagonize the fans at ringside even more. Even though Starboy Charlie has put on a significant amount of muscle, Cardona uses his size and strength advantage to repeatedly overpower the smaller Charlie. Starboy fired up and took Cardona out with a Standing Shooting Star Press after which Cardona bailed to the floor only and was taken out with a Tornillo.  When they returned to the ring, Cardona once again regained his advantage and proceeded to hit Charlie with a series of Neckbreakers. Cardona spent a couple of minutes working over the injured neck before he was caught with an Octopus Stretch followed by a Missile Drop Kick and a series of Lariats. Cardona went for the ten punches in the corner but he was cut off when Starboy executed a Powerbomb; Cardona sent Charlie into the exposed second turnbuckle and hit Charlie with a vicious Boot Scrape. Charlie hit Caronda with a spin kick and the ref counted three before he saw that Cardona’s foot was on the bottom rope. The ref reversed his decision, Cardona hit Charlie with a low blow but Charlie kicked out which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Cardona got in the ref’s face which allowed Charlie to attempt a schoolboy, Cardona kicked out and went for the Pedigree, but Charlie reversed it with a JackKnife pin for the victory. A perfectly executed match.

This was a great back-and-forth match that helped elevate Starboy Charlie even more. Matt Cardona and Joey Janela don’t get the credit they deserve for consistently putting over and elevating younger talent.

Starboy Charlie Defeated Matt Cardona

Triple Threat Match: Sawyer Wreck vs. Dark Sheik vs. Masha Slamovich

Masha hit Sawyer with a German Suplex before she turned her attention to Dark Sheik’s back. The two traded fists in the center of the ring which culminated in Sheik kicking Masha in the back of the head, Sawyer eventually made it back to the ring and took out both of her opponents with chair shots, Sheik attempted a move off the top rope but Sawyer caught her and hit her with a Black Hole Slam; she followed that up with a double suplex. Sawyer attempted to inflict more punishment with the chair but she was caught with a head kick from Sheik who proceeded to Powerslam Sawyer on the chair and hit a Double Leg Drop for a close near fall. Sheik retrieved a door from underneath the ring and set it up in the corner. Sheik got Masha up on her shoulders but they were both Speared through the door by Sawyer Wreck, Sawyer went for a Powerbomb but Masha rolled through and pinned Sawyer with an Inside Cradle.

Masha Slamovich Defeated Sawyer Wreck and Dark Sheik

Trios Tag Team Match: Team Gringo Loco: Gringo Loco and Los Vipers (Latigo and Toxin) vs. Team Komander: Arez, ASF, and Komander

Arez and Latigo started the match for the respective teams they traded Lucha arm drags and strikes, and Latigo attempted a dive but was distracted as Komander started doing squats while balancing on the top rope. Eventually, Komander was taken out with a lariat but quickly recovered as the two executed various beautiful sequences of offense. Komander sent Latigo to the floor which allowed Gringo Loco to enter the match, he booted Komander in the stomach but Komander responded with a twisting HeadScissors, Loco was still able to send Komander to the floor which brought ASF into the match. I could watch any combination of ASF vs. Gringo Loco anytime they wrestle each other. It’s pure magic. ASF sent Gringo to the floor, Toxin put ASF up on the top rope and hit him with a Powerbomb but the pin attempt was broken up by Arez who kicked Toxin in the face. Arez popped ASF up who took out Los Vipers with Headscissors, all three members of Team Komander attempted simultaneous dives but were met with chair shots which cut off their momentum. Los Vipers swung ASF up to Gringo Loco who was on the top rope and hit ASF with a sit-out Powerbomb. Los Vipers hit a Back Drop into a sit-out Powerbomb but the pin was broken up by Arez. Team Komander fired back up, and Arez and ASF took out Los Vipers which allowed Komander to walk the ropes and bounce from the second rope to the top rope a couple of times before hitting a Dragonrana–an insane maneuver by Komander. Team Komander continued their assault with triple dives to the floor, they isolated Latigo in the ring and hit a series of offensive moves that culminated in ASF coming off Komander’s shoulders with a Frog Splash for a close near fall. Each member of Team Komander locked in a submission hold which brought the crowd to their feet, ASF hit a Superrana and attempted a pin but Gringo broke the pin up via a Moonsault. As the rest of their teams recovered, Arez and Latigo traded fists in the center of the ring with Arez getting the advantage, ASF hit a Springboard Moonsault to the floor as Komander walked the ropes and hit a Springboard 450 for only a two-count. Los Vipers regained control and hit a Monkey Flip assisted twisting Moonsault Press. Komander walked the ropes and hit a Moonsault to the floor. Team Gringo Loco hit a series of high-flying moves with Gringo Loco culminating it with a top rope sit-out Powerbomb for the victory.

Team Gringo Defeated Team Komander

GCW Extreme Championship Match: Joey Janela (Champion) vs. Pagano

Joey Janela came to the ring holding a GIANT Boa Constrictor, Dave Prazak noted that Joey is competing in a reality show and had to bring the giant snake to the ring tonight. The snake’s handler looked like he was having the time of his life. The Elite should come to the ring with snakes as it will make their cringeworthy entrance palatable, the snake also had better acting skills than the Bucks. The crowd chanted ‘Snake’ as the giant reptile was taken to the back and the match began, Pagano repeatedly took Janela off of his feet with a series of Shoulder Tackles and a big Clothesline out of the corner. Joey fired up and sent Pagano to the floor and took him out with a top rope Senton. Joey put on a fan’s Santa hat and beard and started to work over Pagano on the floor. Joey’s momentum was cut off when Pagano hit him in the head with a fan’s beer. Joey went under the ring and retrieved a door but before he was able to use it Pagano wrestled it away from him and threw it on Joey. Pagano returned to the ring and took Joey out with a tope and suplexed Janela through the door on the floor. Pagano hit Joey with a reverse suplex into a modified Stretch Muffler. Joey was able to get out of the hold but was still hit over the head with half of the broken door. This only fired Joey up as he hit Pagano with a Brainbuster but was unable to follow up due to the damage from the door. Joey sent Pagano flying after he executed a top rope Headscissors that sent Pagano crashing through a chair. Pagano hit Joey with a Canadian Destroyer but Joey responded right away with an elbow to Pagano’s head. Each man retrieved a door from under the ring and threw more chairs into the center of the ring, Joey won the chair duel and sat Pagano down, Joey bounced off the ropes but he was caught by Pagano who hit Joey with a Backbreaker followed by a lariat that sent Joey crashing back-first into the chair. Pagano set up a door bridge in the corner but Joey was able to recover and sent Pagano through the door with a Double Stomp but Pagano kicked out at one. They started to hit each other over the head with pieces of the broken door, Joey Sabu’d a couple of chairs at Pagano and smashed his head through the door. The two men battled on the top rope, Joey suplexed Pagano off the top through a set of open chairs but Pagano still kicked out. A frustrated Joey Janela hit Pagano with Superkick into a Package Piledriver for the victory.

Joey Janela Retained the GCW Extreme Championship

Singles Match: Jimmy Lloyd vs. Willie Mack

Early on in the match, Willie Mack showcased his impressive agility for a man of his size but Jimmy responded with a Lucha Arm Drag. They ran a couple of Lucha spots much to the crowd’s delight. Mack took Lloyd off his feet with a leg lariat, Lloyd retrieved a chair, he swung it at Mack but Mack ducked causing the chair to hit off the top rope and into Jimmy’s face. Mack set him up in the corner and hit a chair and assisted Cannonball. Dave Prazak wasn’t on commentary for this match and that greatly took away from the presentation of the match; the guy they had on commentary sounded like a college kid’s bad impression of what he thinks commentary is, “quippy” cliches and all. He makes the Boom Goes the Dynamite kid look like Edward R. Murrow. Mack hit a sit-out Powerbomb followed by a vicious spinebuster but Lloyd was able to power out of it and grounded Mack with awesome strikes of his own. Jimmy set up a door bridge in the center of the ring, Mack countered it with a stunner and hit a Frog Splash through the door for the victory.

Willie Mack Defeated Jimmy Lloyd

Singles Match: EFFY vs. Charles Mason

The crowd was firmly behind EFFY throughout this entire match. Mason sniffed and then spit at EFFY’s face. EFFY responded with a headbutt followed by a big splash in the corner. EFFY hit a tope, and to show how unstable Mason is, he spat water in EFFY’s face mid-dive. So sadistic. Mason repeatedly kicked the second rope into EFFY’s crotch and set him up for a spike DDT on the edge of the ring and followed it up with a baseball slide that sent EFFY crashing to the floor. Mason’s acting might not be the best but he is a very compelling and talented wrestler. EFFY tried to use a chair on Mason but Mason took it away and strung it around EFFY’s neck and sent him into the post. Mason continued to beat down EFFY in the ring, hitting him with a Death Valley Driver and slaps across the face. They traded chops in the center of the ring with EFFY getting the best of the situation as he was able to unload on Mason’s neck with forearm strikes. Mason took his belt off and hit EFFY’s back with it, Mason stuck EFFY’s fan in EFFY’s mouth, and the commentator oversold it like it was a gun. EFFY grounded Mason with the Sack Ryder followed by a blockbuster and the under the rainbow for a close near fall. They traded forearms in the center of the ring, Mason and EFFY kissed, Mason bit EFFY’s lip and locked in a Sleeper Hold, Mason wrapped the piano wire around EFFY’s neck, and Allie Katch made the save as they double-teamed Mason. A man in a mask, Parrow, took out BUSSY with a double chokeslam and a drill claw, Dark Sheik ran Mason and Parrow off with a baseball bat.

GCW Tag Team Championship Match: Los Macizos (Champions) vs. RockNes Monsters

The Rocknes Monsters sent the champions to the floor and took them out with stereo topes, BHK isolated Miedo in the ring and they started to work over his previously injured shoulder. Los Macizos eventually gained control of the match as they took out Rocknes Monsters with various dives and high-impact moves. Miedo retrieved a couple of doors and chairs from underneath the ring but Rocknes fired up and took out Meido with a DDT onto the chairs. Yuma hit Ciclope with a top rope Rana onto the chairs followed by a Brainbuster for a close near fall. Los Macizos placed a chair around the neck of BHK and hit it with another chair which took out BHK for a little bit. Yuma Sabu’d a chair at both members of Los Macizos and attempted a top rope move on Ciclope but the champions fired up and hit Yuma with an electric chair. Miedo hit a drill claw for another two-count, BHK Sabu’d a couple of chairs at the champions and set up a door bridge but he took too much time and Miedo was able to set him up for a Doomsday Canadian Destroyer for a two-count, Miedo hit a drill claw followed by a Frog Splash from Ciclope to secure the victory.

Los Macizos Retained the GCW Tag Team Championships

GCW World Championship Match: Nick Gage (Champion) vs. Tony Deppen

Right after Emil finished his introduction of Nick Gage, Tony Deppen jumped Gage from behind but was met with a Spinebuster; Gage sent Tony to the floor where he sent him flying with a baseball slide. Gage proceeded to beat up Tony around ringside but Tony was able to make his way back into the ring and sent Gage to the floor with a dropkick. Deppen teased a dive but slid through the ropes and punched the champion in the face. Deppen continued his assault around ringside, throwing Gage into the chairs repeatedly; Tony brought Gage back into the ring and set up a chair between the top and second rope. Tony tried to lock in a Sleeper Hold but Gage shook him off and sent Tony face-first into the steel chair. Gage hit Tony with a release Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex which fired the crowd up even more, Deppen’s mouth started to bleed as a result of being sent face-first into the chair. That didn’t stop Deppen from hitting Gage with a top rope Double Stomp which resulted in a near fall. Deppen set up a door in the corner, Deppen teased putting Gage through the door but he instead hit him with a Back Breaker running knee combination. Gage fired up with a DDT followed by an attempted Chokebreaker attempt but Deppen hit Gage with a low blow followed by a straight forearm and running knee to Gage’s face. Deppen locked in the crossface followed by Danielson Elbows to the side of Gage’s head; Gage hit a Death Valley Driver followed by a Reverse Back Elbow for another near fall. Gage grabbed a piece of the broken door and sharpened it on the ring post but Tony hit Gage with a knee strike before he could utilize the weapon. Deppen set Gage up in the corner and placed a chair in front of his face, Gage blocked the running knee attempt and Sabu’d the chair at Deppen’s head. Deppen was busted open as a result of the chairshot, Gage used this to his advantage as he started to carve away with the pizza cutter. Gage followed the assault up with a Piledriver but Deppen was able to get his shoulder up at two and a half. Deppen hit a desperation Brainbuster and set Gage up on the back of two chairs, Deppen came off the top rope and crotched himself, Gage Chokeslammed onto the back of the chairs and hit him with the Chokebreaker but Deppen was again able to kick out. Gage hit an avalanche Piledriver for the victory.

Nick Gage Retained the GCW World Championship
