Bad Bunny will be the host of WWE Backlash this May with the event set to take place in Puerto Rico.

WWE confirmed that the May 6th event will take place from San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.

It is the first WWE pay-per-view/premium live event in Puerto Rico since the New Year’s Revolution pay-per-view in January 2005 that featured an Elimination Chamber match won by Triple H.

The date of Backlash was first reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

It is the first premium live event following April’s two-night WrestleMania 39 and will be one of two premium live events staged in May along with King and Queen of the Ring on May 27th in Saudi Arabia.

Bad Bunny has a deep relationship with WWE going back to 2021 when he performed at the Royal Rumble and led to a match at WrestleMania 37 alongside Damian Priest against The Miz & John Morrison.
