Lance Storm (Lance Evers) will be inducted into the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame later this year among nineteen honorees.

Evers will join Super Bowl & Grey Cup winner Ryan Hunter along with Allan de la Plante, Chris Bonany, Jeff Seguin, and Ted Thomson among the Hall of Fame inductees. de la Plante was the official photographer for racing legend Gilles Villeneuve and is a member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame.

Evers graduated from high school in North Bay and held a retirement match in the city in August 2007 against Bobby Roode but would continue to wrestle sporadically over the next decade.

After being trained at the Hart Brothers Camp, he debuted in October 1990 with fellow trainee Chris Jericho. The duo would team up in various companies including Smokey Mountain Wrestling and FMW before each made a name for themselves with national promotions in the U.S.

After runs with ECW and WCW, Evers joined WWE in the spring of 2001, debuting on an episode of Raw in Calgary to kick off the Invasion storyline.

He won the Intercontinental Championship later that year from Albert and lost it to Edge at SummerSlam the following month. He also held versions of the tag team titles with Christian and William Regal.

In 2004, he took on a role as a trainer at Ohio Valley Wrestling before launching his Storm Wrestling Academy in September 2005. Evers ran his school for fourteen years and helped train and produce talent including Tyler Breeze, Taya Valkyrie, Racheal Ellering, Dominik Mysterio, Emma, Peyton Royce, Gisele Shaw, and Chelsea Green.

His role as a WWE producer that began in late 2019 ended prematurely due to the pandemic and now works as a producer with IMPACT Wrestling and co-hosts a weekly show on the Wrestling Observer site.

The Hall of Fame class will consist of five new members with fourteen others being honored with awards at the ceremony on May 6th.
