Trios Opener

Rampage kicked off with the Blackpool Combat Club taking on The “Best Amigos” (aka Best Friends) and Bandido. Unsurprisingly, Bandido was the star of this match getting the crowd to its feet a few times with his high-flying moves. Another storyline throughout the match was that Wheeler Yuta was Chuck Taylor’s former protege. The BCC scored the pinfall with Moxley hitting a Death Rider and Yuta hitting a splash from the top rope.

Kyle Fletcher Promo

A backstage video was shown featuring Kyle Fletcher explaining why he took out Orange Cassidy last week. Fletcher asked who was more international than him and said he was the next AEW International Champion.

Jade Cargill & Taya Valykrie

Jade Cargill squashed Danny Bee in under a minute. After the match, Mark Sterling asked if that was the best Texas had to offer and revealed they lined up other opponents for Jade. Genesis came out and the bell rang again. Genesis was defeated in short order to make Jade’s record 59-0. Another opponent came out but Taya Valykrie appeared and knocked her out. Valyrkie attacked Leila Grey and hit the Road to Valhalla on Cargill. Meanwhile Mark Sterling distracted the ref so that he couldn’t start a third match. Taya got on the mic and said she’ll see Jade at Double or Nothing and the official graphic was shown immediately after.

The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass Trios

Fun Fact: Whoever attempted to type out the Closed Captioning for The Acclaimed entrance certainly gave it their all (click CC on the Twitter embed above and you’ll see).

The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass Billy Gunn defeated The Varsity Athletes with The Arrival and the Mic Drop. The announce team noted that The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass may be in line for an AEW Trios Championship match sometime soon.

QTV

  • QT Marshall asked Aaron Solo if he was the one who hacked Matt Hardy which Solo denied.
  • QT told his team he signed them all up for the Backjack Battle Royal at Double or Nothing. Harley Cameron got excited to make her PPV debut but QT told her “Not you”.
  • QT celebrated the fact that the “Monstar” Powerhouse Hobbs was front and center on the poster for AEW Collision. They discussed all the new people Hobbs could lay out. QT brought up Miro and then Cameron and Solo went back and forth with suggestions of Buff Bagwell, Blue Meanie, and Tatanka.

The Moan Event

Tony Schiavone interviewed The Hardys and Brother Zay in the ring and announced that they will face The Gunns and Ethan Page at Double or Nothing. If Team Hardy wins, Matt Hardy will control Ethan Page’s contract. Jeff Hardy teased that The Hardys’ ultimate goal was to win the AEW Tag Team Championships. Ethan Page interrupted and said they’d been at this too long and they were done. Page got into Brother Zay’s face and asked him who was there for him when Marq Quen got hurt. He said they were supposed to become a tag team called “The Moan Event”. Page attempted to hug Kassidy and then shake his hand but this all was a distraction to allow The Gunns to attack from behind with chairs. The Gunns wrapped a chair around Kassidy’s neck and stomped on it from the second rope. Page said, “You’ll never moan again”.

Cole & Jericho Reprise

A recap of the Falls Count Anywhere match from Dynamite was shown and Chris Jericho cut a promo from the announce desk calling Adam Cole a coward. Cole appeared outside the building saying that he was going to make Jericho’s life a living hell every week. Jericho said the legal document banning Cole from the building was now null and void and he challenged Cole to an Unsanctioned Match at Double or Nothing. Cole charged into the arena and came in through the crowd and the pair started a big pull-apart brawl on the ramp and around the ringside area.

Bloody Dustin Rhodes vs. Bishop Kaun

Dustin Rhodes was accompanied to the ring by Keith Lee and the crowd was firmly in Rhodes’ camp as the hometown hero. Early in the match Rhodes was busted open after being run into a TV camera and bled heavily from his forehead.

The finish saw Dustin Rhodes hit a bulldog and The Final Reckoning for the victory. After the match, Brian Cage attacked Rhodes and powerbombed him. Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland joined in when Keith Lee came out to make the save. Unfortunately for Lee, The Mogul Embassy overpowered him and sat him in a chair as Swerve stomped onto him from the second rope.
