Diamanté also told the story of how she got her start in AEW.

There have been several occasions in Diamanté’s in-ring career when she has done extra work for WWE. The first came in 2017 when she had a match against Asuka on NXT. She returned to the brand in 2019 for a match against Bianca Belair.

After the bout with Asuka, Diamanté received praise from Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. She told Captain’s Corner during a virtual signing that Levesque told her she made Asuka look like a million bucks. Diamanté shared that after the match, she was flown out for independent dates on a more consistent basis.

It (first time I was flown out for wrestling) was right after I was an extra for NXT and I wrestled Asuka, who was the champ at that time and she was going into a program with Ember Moon. Some of you may know her as Athena and bro, she kicked my ass but I made her — Triple H’s words, Triple H’s words because he came back to me and said, ‘Holy sh*t. You made her look like a million bucks.’ After that, your girl got flown around places and I was like wow, this is nice. This is great…

Diamanté has been working with All Elite Wrestling since January 2020. Her first match in the company was against Big Swole on Dark.

She shared that Swole is who got her foot in the door of AEW. When they were coming to Coral Gables, Florida, Swole told Kenny Omega that she wanted to wrestle Diamanté and soon after, she received an email from Omega.

Like I said, me and (Big) Swole were good friends, are still good friends. She had just signed with the company and it was a pretty big deal, it was cool. AEW announced they were coming to Miami and they told her, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna have you wrestle this person,’ like just maybe somebody on the roster or an extra. I wasn’t sure what it was and she told them, she looked Kenny Omega in the eye, she said, ‘We’re going to Miami. There’s one person I want to, need to and must wrestle’ and that was me. So, it was crazy getting an email from Kenny Omega about ideas for the match.

At the June 4th Ring of Honor on HonorClub taping, Diamanté was in action.
