J.R. weighs in on the idea of Mauro Ranallo coming to AEW.
As Jim Ross was doing a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, the topic of All Elite Wrestling’s new Collision show came up. When asked who will be the announce team for the program, Ross said he has no idea.
A chat user then asked if he thinks Mauro Ranallo will ever end up in AEW and J.R. explained why he does not see that happening. He stated that Ranallo can help any organization, but he’s not a ‘great traveler’ and deals with things that are more important than commentating for AEW.
He’s a friend of mine (J.R. said about Mauro Ranallo)… No (I don’t see him coming to AEW). He has mental health issues. He can help any organization, Mauro. Mauro Ranallo is that good. But he’s not a great traveler and that’s not knocking Mauro. It’s just he has issues that are more important than who’s doing Dynamite next week.
There’s an interview with Ranallo on the POST Wrestling YouTube channel from December 2020.
