WRESTLING NEWS

**Ariel Helwani reported on The MMA Hour that among the parties that have shown interest in acquiring Bellator include Shad & Tony Khan. For months, it had been reported that Bellator could be sold and last week, Scott Coker acknowledged talks have taken place with the PFL. Helwani confirmed that PFL has been in the mix and could be securing more funding soon and added that Liberty Media also showed interest in Bellator (Liberty was also one of the bidders for WWE). Bellator is owned by Paramount Global with Bellator cards currently airing on Showtime in the U.S.

**Monday’s episode of Raw averaged 1,821,000 viewers and 726,000 (0.56) in the 18-49 demographic on the USA Network, which topped broadcast & cable on Monday. It was a significant rise from last week’s show that aired against the NBA Finals with a 14% increase in viewership and a 21% gain in the key demo. It was a two-week high for the show and second largest audience for Raw since the night after WrestleMania 39. The show averaged 1,885,000 viewers and 0.56 in the demo for the first hour and jumped to 1,901,000 and 0.58 in the second hour (the first hour to top 1.9 million viewers since May 8) and fell to 1,667,000 and 0.53 in the third hour. The viewership dropped by 12% from the first to the third hour while the demo only dropped by 5% throughout. (Wrestlenomics & Showbuzz Daily)

**In Canada, Raw averaged 256,400 viewers and 115,900 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which were up by 7% and 3% respectively from last week. Raw ranked second for the night among sports programs behind the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Miami Marlins, which averaged 620,400 viewers on Sportsnet.

**AEW Dynamite is in Chicago at the Wintrust Arena with a heightened curiosity regarding CM Punk’s status for the show. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are not expected to appear live on the show, although Mike Johnson noted they are scheduled to appear in a pre-taped segment. There is a lot scheduled for tonight’s show with the priorities being the Forbidden Door card and figuring out roles for several major players on both rosters, as well as promoting Collision on Saturday to retain a strong percentage of the audience from the premiere. The following segments and matches are scheduled for tonight:
*Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara & Minoru Suzuki vs. Action Andretti, Darius Martin & AR Fox
*TBS Championship: Kris Statlander © vs. Taya Valkyrie
*The Hardys vs. The Gunns
*Concession Stand Brawl: Jeff Jarrett vs. Mark Briscoe
*Orange Cassidy & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Daniel Garcia
*Bryan Danielson calls out Kazuchika Okada
*Adam Cole speaks
*Eddie Kingston speaks
*Draw for the Blind Eliminator Tournament

**The latest report from WrestleTix lists tonight’s Dynamite at 6,128 tickets distributed (combination of paid and comps), which exceeds the figure of 6,060 they distributed for their last time in the arena last November.

**The Hollywood Reporter has a major feature on WBD’s David Zaslav.

**WWE announcer Samantha Irvin is a guest on the Getting Over Podcast.

**The WWE stock closed at $101.31 on Wednesday.
