IMPACT Down Under Results (6/30/23): Alex Shelley retains title against Steve Maclin

IMPACT Wrestling held its first of two ‘Down Under’ cards in Australia with Alex Shelley retaining the IMPACT Championship on Friday.

In a rematch from Against All Odds, Shelley defeated Steve Maclin to retain the championship and sets up Shelley defending the title against Nick Aldis at Slammiversary on July 15.

Shelley won the match with the Shell Shock and made his second defense of the title.

There were three title matches on the card with the champions retaining them.

Chris Sabin retained the X Division Championship against Frankie Kazarian and Robbie Eagles in a three-way match.

Deonna Purrazzo defeated Steph De Lander in a non-title match as Purrazzo defends the title Friday against Gisele Shaw and against Trinity at Slammiversary. In a correction from earlier, this was a non-title match. 

Joe Hendry retained the Digital Media Championship against Eddie Edwards.

The remainder of the card included Slex over Adam Brooks, Gisele Shaw over Erika Reid, Killer Kelly over Aysha, and Chris Bey & Ace Austin beating Moose & Brian Myers in a non-title match.

The tour wraps up Saturday with another show in Wagga Wagga at the Equex Centre and streams on FITE at 5 a.m. ET with the following card:
