Dylan Postl takes a look back at his release.

Dylan Postl a.k.a. Hornswoggle reflected on his release from WWE in May of 2016 on his Going Postl podcast. Among those that were released in the group with Postl was Aron Stevens, Wade Barrett, Santino Marella, Ariane Andrew, Alex Riley, Dutch Mantell and El Torito.

El Torito and Postl are often linked via the WeeLC match they had at Extreme Rules 2014. Postl feels WWE had to cut him and Torito at the same time. He added that if one of them got cut and the other didn’t, it would not ‘look right’.

This is something I’ve never gotten into, publicly. I feel they had to fire (El) Torito and I at the same time. I truly feel this way. If they would have fired just me and not the other one, it wouldn’t look right. There was a lot of firings that day… Me, Alex Riley, Santino (Marella), Torito, (Wade) Barrett, I forget who else but there’s a lot. I feel like they had to fire Torito and I at the same time.

Back in 2020, Postl filmed a pre-tape for WWE as a part of The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) and The Viking Raiders’ program. Postl’s segment did not air at the Backlash Premium Live Event
