Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage began with the ‘Royal Rampage’ match to determine the next challenger for the TNT Championship.

The battle royal involved Angelo Parker, Big Bill, Bishop Kaun, Brian Cage, Brother Zay, Darby Allin, Ethan Page, Jake Hager, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Komander, Matt Hardy, Matt Menard, Matt Sydal, Minoru Suzuki, Nick Wayne, Swerve Strickland, The Blade, The Butcher, and Toa Liona.

Darby Allin emerged victorious and bags a TNT Championship shot at All Out in September. Darby eliminated Swerve Strickland to get the win. The finish saw both men spill to the floor, but Allin won because he went through the middle rope.

Billy Gunn grabbed the pin on Aaron Solo in a trios match between The Ass-claimed and QTV’s Johnny TV, QT Marshall & Aaron Solo.

Kris Statlander won a five-minute match with Marina Shafir to retain her TBS Championship. In the conclusion, Statlander tried for the Friday Night Fever but Shafir dodged and managed to get her opponent into a standing figure-four. Statlander slipped out, hit a lariat, and managed the Friday Night Fever to grab the pin.
