Shayna Baszler feels people will appreciate her a little bit if she sends Ronda Rousey away following WWE SummerSlam

The upcoming match is going to be Baszler and Rousey’s first match against each other. 

On the bill for WWE’s 2023 SummerSlam Premium Live Event is Ronda Rousey versus Shayna Baszler in a MMA Rules match

It’ll be the first match between Baszler and Rousey and going into it, Shayna was interviewed by New York Post. She told the outlet she thinks people will appreciate her a little bit if she sends Rousey away following their match.  Baszler thinks she can be people’s hero, but it is not something she’s actively seeking out to do. 

I think if I take care of Ronda and shut her up and maybe she does go away, I think for a second, people are gonna appreciate me a little bit. I don’t think I’m the type of person who’s ever gonna be a babyface in the way a Liv Morgan is or a Kairi Sane, these super sympathetic [figures]. But I think I can be people’s hero if they want it to be. Am I trying to do that? Not necessarily.
