Adam Cole to undergo two surgeries for broken ankle

Adam Cole has a long road to recovery from his broken ankle as he provided an update on Thursday.

While speaking on his Twitch stream, the 34-year-old AEW performer stated he would require two surgeries on his broken left ankle that he sustained on the Sept. 20 episode of AEW Grand Slam.

The surgeries will see eight screws and a plate inserted into the ankle and went on to state it’s the most painful injury he has endured.

Cole previously missed nine months of action from June 2022 until March 2023 due to a pair of concussions he sustained including one at AEW’s Forbidden Door event last year.

Cole was running down the elevated ramp at Grand Slam and hopped to the floor where he suffered the injury and was visibility affected by the ankle for the duration of his involvement in the match between MJF and Samoa Joe.
