Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite adds viewers, falls in 18-49

The Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite saw a small drop in its 18-49 audience while its overall audience grew from the week prior.

The November 22 episode from Chicago averaged 845,000 viewers and 337,000 (0.26) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

Ratings results were delayed due to the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.

The audience grew by 3% from the previous week’s episode and was Dynamite’s largest audience since October 17. Conversely, the 18-49 audience dropped by 8% and hit its lowest mark since October 24.

In the 18-49 demo, female viewership dropped from 126,000 to 103,000 and men were down from 241,000 to 234,000.

Adults 18-34 averaged 114,000 or a 9% drop from the previous week’s number.

Adults 35-49 fell by 8% to 223,000. Across the major demos, it was female viewers that saw a greater decline than males.

In Canada, the show averaged approximately 68,000 viewers and 30,000 in the 25-54 demographic and didn’t rank among the top ten sports programs on Wednesday. The numbers declined from the previous week’s viewership of 102,200 and 48,000 in the demo.

Dynamite included the start of the Continental Classic tournament with three Gold League matches including the main event between Jon Moxley and Mark Briscoe.
