Cody Rhodes has paid tribute to QT Marshall, who yesterday announced his resignation from AEW.

Rhodes said Marshall was a “pro’s pro” and was “instrumental in helping countless wrestlers.”

Marshall stated yesterday that he would be finishing up his commitments to AEW by the end of 2023. In his public message, he noted that the promotion was “heading in a different direction.”

On Tuesday, his former colleague Cody Rhodes commented on the news in a social media post.

Rhodes wrote:

[QT Marshall] did the work – was essential in making so many memories for fans & has been so instrumental in helping countless wrestlers.

A pros’ PRO. We almost became friends ha. I can’t wait to see what you do next! An OG and outstanding “num 2” through his tenure. Congratulations QT on the run so far.

Rhodes’ comments came after a host of AEW personalities paid tribute to Marshall on social media. They include Ricky Starks, Taz, Aubrey Edwards, Powerhouse Hobbs, Brian Cage, Danhausen, Stokely Hathaway, Matt Hardy and Fuego Del Sol.

There is no word on Marshall’s next move as yet.
