Dragon Lee lifted the North American Championship at NXT Deadline after defeating Dominik Mysterio.
Dominik’s father Rey had been billed as being in Lee’s corner for the match, but in fact joined Booker T and Vic Joseph on commentary.
There were “We want Mami” chants at the beginning of the match but Dominik was without any members of The Judgment Day.
Dragon Lee prevailed after ducking a 619 attempt, escaping a powerbomb, and then hitting his version of the Destino.
Lee had just come off a defeat to Santos Escobar in the first round of the WWE United States Championship No. 1 contender tournament on SmackDown.
