Yuya Uemura has earned a Wrestle Kingdom match with Yota Tsuji after pinning him in a six-man tag match during the final NJPW show of 2023.

The main event of NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, saw Uemura join Taichi and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA to take on Tsuji, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito.

It was the second night of a two-day event. On Thursday, Tsuji had told Uemura that he would need to score a pinfall win over him for there to be a singles match between the pair.

After this morning’s result, Tsuji accepted the match for the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.
