An update on Baron Black’s whereabouts.

The last time Baron Black was in action was during the summer of 2023. He wrestled for the Georgia-based Battle Slam promotion that he founded.

Taking to his X account, Black shared that in December 2022, he suffered an ankle injury and worsened it by wrestling the following January. It turned out to be a ligament issue, but surgery was not required. He attempted to make an in-ring return in June, but his ankle was not fully healed.

Baron added that he dealt with food poisoning. He resumed in-ring training, but had to go to the E.R. due to severe dehydration and fatigue. Initially, doctors found nothing wrong. He would continue dealing with severe dehydration that resulted in seven emergency room visits.

The doctors then learned that Baron had a gut bacteria issue that stemmed from the food poisoning. Baron closed by noting that he’s currently at the end of the healing process and is looking forward to returning to the ring.
