The Rock Arrives

SmackDown kicked off with footage of The Rock arriving at the arena earlier in the day.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying

The first match of the evening was an Elimination Chamber Qualifying match with Kevin Owens taking on Dominik Mysterio. Dirty Dom tried to cut a promo before the match but the crowd booed him out of the building every time he tried to start talking. R-Truth appeared at ringside early in the match and called Kevin Owens “Miz”. Dominik told him that he could be in Judgment Day if he got him a chair. R-Truth started to grab the chair but instead of handing it off, just sat down on it. Owens then hit the pop-up powerbomb for the victory. Owens joined LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley in the Chamber match with one spot remaining.

Drew McIntyre & LA Knight

Drew McIntyre was interviewed in the back and said he had to win the Chamber and was quickly interrupted by LA Knight. The two started arguing and had to be separated by referees.

Reigns Arrives

Roman Reigns was shown arriving at the building earlier in the day hugging Jimmy Uso and saying “Let’s go fix everything Jey messed up”.

New Catch Republic

Kayla Braxton interviewed Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne who said the Bruiserweight and the Big Strong Boy were going to take the tag team titles from The Judgment Day. Bate suggested their tag team name be “New Catch Republic”. Dominik interrupted and said they couldn’t beat any two members of Judgment Day and Bate suggested they face Dom and R-Truth. Dom got upset saying that R-Truth wasn’t in Judgment Day and stormed off.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying

The next match of the evening was the LWO’s Zelina Vega taking on Tiffany Stratton in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Legado del Fantasma appeared at ringside early in the match distracting Vega which led to Carlito, Cruz del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde to come out to help even the odds. Elektra Lopez started taunting Vega so she snapped and attacked Lopez. This distraction was enough for Tiffany Stratton to gain the advantage and hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to win her entry into the Elimination Chamber match.

Tiffany Stratton joins the already-qualified Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair.

The OC Implodes

Karl Anderson said that AJ Styles has forgotten where he comes from and Styles slapped him in the face and the two had to be separated.

Damage CTRL Promo

IYO Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka cut a subtitled promo about them coming for Bayley and Dakota Kai.

Authors of Pain

Next up, Authors of Pain squashed NXT’s Javier Bernal & Beau Morris in one minute.

Logan Paul Promo

Byron Saxton interviewed Logan Paul and noted that the next match was Paul’s first-ever match on Smackdown. Paul said he was the only champion in contention for the Chamber and would go on to win and face Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying

Logan Paul vs. The Miz was the next Chamber qualifying match of the evening. During the match, Nick Aldis was shown sitting in a luxury box with Jade Cargill, Bron Breakker, and others. During this match, the announcers harped on the fact that Logan Paul had a higher rating in the 2K video game than Miz. Paul was able to pick up the win and qualify for the Chamber match.

Now the field was set for the Men’s Chamber.

“Big Business Meeting”

Nick Aldis had Smackdown contracts in front of Jade Cargill and Bron Breakker when Tiffany Stratton stormed in and got in the faces of Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair who were also there for some reason. Jade Cargill complained about them interrupting her “Big Business” meeting.

Elimination Chamber Qualifying

Next was the final qualifying match of the evening with Naomi taking on Alba Fyre. Isla Dawn got involved a few times throughout the match behind the referee’s back but Naomi was able to overcome the odds as she submitted Fyre in just over nine minutes.

Can Bayley Trust Dakota?

Backstage, Dakota Kai begged Bayley for her help and Bayley said she couldn’t do this right now.

Bron Breakker Signs with Smackdown

Nick Aldis came out to announce that Bron Breakker had officially signed with Smackdown.

The Rock & Roman Connection

The Bloodline was out next and Roman Reigns said that tonight is the first time they can say officially that The Rock is a member of The Bloodline. The Rock then came out and announced that they broke a state of Utah indoor attendance record tonight. But then he revealed that it was actually a record of the largest gathering of trailer park trash he’s ever seen. The Rock then went full heel running down the “inbred” crowd with “fifty wives”. Rock said this side of him had always been there but hadn’t been seen in years. He said the biggest Wrestlemania main event of The Rock vs Roman Reigns was right there but the crowd let it go.

Rock then talked about how Cody didn’t deserve a rematch after Roman already beat him at Wrestlemania last year. He said he was going to do everything in his power to make sure Cody walks out of Mania a loser. He finished off by doing his “If You Smell” tagline but this time it was “If you smell what The Bloodline is cookin'”.
