The TNT Title is in Garcia’s sights.

This coming Sunday, Daniel Garcia will have the opportunity to win his first championship under the AEW banner. He’ll be challenging Christian Cage for the TNT Title at Revolution.

At the end of 2023, Garcia shared that 2024 is a contract year for him. While speaking to ROAR Around the Ring, he said he’ll deal with his contract when it comes time to do so but in the present, he’s focused on the TNT Title.

I’ma deal with it when I need to (Garcia said when asked about his AEW contract status). I’m focusing on the subject at hand and the subject at hand right now is the TNT Championship.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Garcia expressed interest in sharing with the ring with former IWGP World Heavyweight Champions Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay.

I think I’ve basically did one-offs with pretty much everybody that I would like to step in the ring with. I mean, I know there’s rumors of (Kazuchika) Okada coming in. I would love to step in the ring with somebody like Okada. I know (Will) Ospreay is coming in. That’s somebody I’d love to get in the ring against. I feel like I wanna test my mettle against that level of a performer and I think those people are next on my bucket list for sure.

Ospreay is signed to AEW and he’ll be appearing for the company on the 2/28 Dynamite.

The 25-year-old Garcia has been wrestling for AEW since 2020. He had a reign as ROH Pure Champion.
