WWE Raw notes: CM Punk teases fight at Clash at the Castle, KOTR/QOTR matches, coach Dan Hurley

There was a shot backstage with Drew McIntyre complaining to Adam Pearce about Jey Uso taking his spot in the King of the Ring tournament due to injury. As McIntyre drove out of the venue, CM Punk drove in. Punk went to the ring and called McIntyre a ‘choke artist’. He said he’s a different type of choke artist than McIntyre is and signaled to Pat McAfee who said ‘guillotine’, referencing Punk’s physical altercation with Jack Perry. Punk said if McIntyre makes him come to Glasgow, he’ll break his face. Glasgow, Scotland is hosting Clash at the Castle on June 15th.

On the King of the Ring front, Jey Uso defeated Finn Bálor to advance. The aforementioned Drew McIntyre showed up and attempted to distract Jey. Ilja Dragunov picked up a win over Ricochet to advance in the tournament and on 5/13, Jey will clash with Dragunov in the second round. In the main event, GUNTHER submitted Sheamus to advance.

The Queen of the Ring kicked off and Zoey Stark defeated Ivy Nile and there was a match between Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai, which Valkyria emerged victorious from. Stark versus Valkyria in the second round is official for 5/13.

Dan Hurley, head coach of the University of Connecticut Huskies men’s basketball team was at Raw in Hartford. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque posted a photo with him and he was part of a segment with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and World Tag Team Champions Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth).
