Mercedes Moné wins TBS Championship at AEW Double or Nothing, Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway turn on Willow Nightingale

Two losses in one night for Nightingale.

Mercedes Moné’s AEW in-ring debut took place at Double or Nothing. She challenged Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship.

There was a point during the match when Moné shoved Kris Statlander, who was on the outside of the ring hyping up Nightingale. Statlander got on the apron to get at Mercedes and that grabbed referee Aubrey Edwards’ attention.

Statlander got down from the apron, but Stokely Hathway jumped up as soon as Nightingale was setting Mercedes up for her gutwrench powerbomb. His arguing with Aubrey Edwards led to a two count for Willow’s move.

Moné would go on to hit the Moné Maker finisher to secure the win and capture the TBS Championship in her AEW in-ring debut.

Post-match, Stokely began arguing with and shouting at Willow. Statlander pushed him to the mat and helped Willow out of the ring. As Statlander and Nightingale were walking up the entrance ramp, she slammed her on the ramp. Statlander and Hathaway then stood over the former champion.
