WWE Raw notes: Liv Morgan kisses Dominik Mysterio after retaining title, Chad Gable-Alpha Academy, Breakker ignores suspension

Closing out the 5/27 episode of Monday Night Raw was Becky Lynch getting her rematch for the WWE Women’s World Championship. She took on newly crowned champion Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage. Dominik Mysterio inadvertently helped Morgan retain. He was trying to hold the cage door open for Lynch to climb out, but Braun Strowman was chasing J.D. McDonagh and Finn Bálor around ringside and he trucked Dominik in the process which sent Mysterio into the door and the door hit Lynch. Liv Morgan kissed Dominik afterwards.

The latest on Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa) is Gable reprimanded the group after Otis lost to Bronson Reed. He intended to whip Otis with a belt, but was stopped by Maxxine. WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn made his way to the ring and tried to convince Otis to stand his ground against Gable but when Sami got the better of Chad in their physical exchange, Otis pulled Zayn off.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce stated that Bron Breakker was suspended and fined for his actions on the 5/20 Raw. Breakker appeared on the 5/27 show and speared Ricochet during a match with Ilja Dragunov. He speared Ilja as well.

The number one contenders to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. Stark suggested the idea of inviting the champions to Raw. Afterwards, they were confronted by Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

Despite interference from Finn Bálor and Carlito, Braun Strowman bested J.D. McDonagh in singles action in what was his first televised match since May 2023

Scheduled for the 6/3 Raw are the following bouts:

  • New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) vs. A.O.P. (Akam & Rezar) (w/ Paul Ellering, Karrion Kross & Scarlett)
