Samoa Joe, HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata look set to face Chris Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith of The Learning Tree at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

The Learning Tree attacked Private Party’s Isiah Kennedy & Marq Quen after Jericho and Bill defeated them in a tag team match on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision.

The attack brought out Samoa Joe, HOOK & Katsuyori Shibata to make the save. That trio had opened the show with a win over The Premier Athletes.

Joe then made the challenge for the pay-per-view on June 30th.

The match is yet to be made official.

This week’s episode of AEW Collision was taped on Thursday, June 20th, at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Collision also featured the first appearance under the AEW banner by legendary luchador Último Guerrero. Representing CMLL, he took on Kazuchica Okada in an AEW Continental Championship eliminator match. Okada would prevail with the Rainmaker.

Elsewhere on the show, Serena Deeb issued an open challenge to the women’s locker room to “enter Deeb’s dojo” on next week’s episode of Collision in Buffalo, New York.

Jeff Jarrett featured in an emotional pre-taped promo about the importance of taking part in the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament.

The show was main-evented by a successful AEW International Championship defense by Will Ospreay against Brian Cage. Ospreay retained via pinfall with the Hidden Blade.
