Former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa has said she is recovering from a concussion.
Rosa revealed the news on Sunday’s episode of Busted Open Radio.
The 38-year-old said that she will be out of action for a further couple of weeks.
She had some advice for her fellow wrestlers:
If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don’t get in there; it’s not worth it. I can tell you I’m — right now — I’m suffering a concussion, so I’m gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple of weeks.
She added that she intended to get in contact with Chris Nowinski, a former WWE wrestler who is now a neuroscientist and campaigner on the dangers of concussion as CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
Thunder Rosa last competed on the August 31st episode of AEW Collision in a four-way match to determine Mercedes Moné’s challenger for the TBS Championship. Also taking part were Queen Aminata, Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida, who won the match.
