An update on DOUKI, per report.
The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship was up for grabs at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. DOUKI put the title on the line against El Desperado.
As the two talents were getting their match going, DOUKI did an aerial move to the outside and connected with the guardrail. Shortly after, the referee deemed him unable to compete and El Desperado was crowned the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
There’s an update on DOUKI from Tokyo Sports. The outlet notes that he suffered a dislocated left elbow.
The match had been going for five minutes and 23 seconds before it was stopped. Post-match, Desperado said him and DOUKI will run it back when he’s cleared to do so.
