Rob Van Dam provided an update on Chris Bey after visiting the injured TNA performer.

Bey sustained a massive neck injury last October during a match with Ace Austin against The Hardys at a television taping the day after Bound for Glory.

Van Dam noted on his One of a Kind podcast that Bey had been in hospital for two months and had just recently returned home.

Van Dam stated that Bey was paralyzed after the match but added, “He is much better than I imagined…He’s going to make a comeback, a full comeback. I’m sure of it but it’s going to be a long journey.”

He was hesitant to get into too many specifics about the injury but shared his thoughts on the visit and comparisons to Hayabusa and Darren Drozdov, who suffered career-ending neck injuries.

TNA has continued to promote initiatives to raise awareness and funds for Bey including a GoFundMe that was set up in October and has raised more than $100,000 for the performer.
