AEW Collision sees growth in multiple demos against major NFL game

AEW Collision managed to hold onto its audience while also growing its core demo on one of the toughest nights of the year.

This past weekend’s AEW Collison averaged 342,000 viewers and 140,000 (0.10) in the 18-49 demographic, an increase of 1% in overall viewership and 20% growth in the key demographic.

The show aired directly against the NFL playoff game between the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders, which had 34,587,000 viewers on Fox and an incredible 8.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The game also aired on Fox Deportes with 53,000 viewers and 0.02 in the demo.

Collision also aired against college basketball on ESPN (886,000 viewers and 0.24) and the UFC 311 prelims on FX (411,000 viewers and 0.19). In its timeslot, Collision ranked #3 on cable in prime time behind ESPN & FX.

In the 18-49 demo, Collison saw males increase 12.5% this week to 90,000 viewers while females were up 35% with an average of 50,000.

Adults 18-34 experienced a 32% gain and adults 35-49 improved by 15% from the previous week.

On the USA Network in Canada, Collision averaged 60,000 viewers and 40,000 in the 25-54 demographic, which were declines of 13% and 17% respectively from last week.
