It was shared on X by the Cauliflower Alley Club that Edward Wiskoski a.k.a. Colonel DeBeers passed away at the age of 80. The organization posted the following tweet:
It is with profound sadness that the Cauliflower Alley Club announces the passing of Ed Wiskowski, better known to wrestling fan as Colonel DeBeers, at the age of 80. We extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and fans worldwide. Thank for the memories. R.I.P. Sir
The Missouri native began his in-ring career in 1972. He was trained by Harley Race and Eric Tovey (Lord Littlebrook).
He started out in NWA territories and would make his way into Jim Crockett Promotions. In 1977, Wiskoski toured with All Japan Pro Wrestling and it was in 1983 that he debuted for the WWF.
His last documented match was in 2005 at a WrestleReunion event in Tampa, Florida.
