Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi def. Young Bucks to capture IWGP Tag Team Titles at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka

The Young Bucks drop the titles.

It was at the Wrestle Dynasty special that The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson), United Empire (Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb) and the duo of Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi competed in a three-way match for the then-vacant IWGP Tag Team Championships.

The Bucks came out on top and won those belts for the first time since 2018. Their first defense of their second reign was at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka against Naito and Takahashi.

The conclusion of the bout saw Naito pin Nick Jackson to scoop up the win and the tag titles. Takahashi is now a junior heavyweight that is holding a heavyweight belt.

Before exiting camera’s view, Matthew and Nicholas thanked the crowd in attendance.
