The Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California played host the first episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix. There were a handful of celebrities in attendance, one of which was multi-time Grammy-nominated artist Travis Scott.
He was a part of the show and accompanied Jey Uso to the ring for his entrance. Scott also provided the theme song for Raw on Netflix.
There’s a written piece that Carl Lamarre of Billboard published and a quote from Scott about his appearance was included. He said the energy was crazy. Jey Uso chimed in and jokingly mentioned Scott lighting a blunt while they were on the way to the ring.
Scott: The energy out there was crazy. I was talking to Triple H and was like, ‘Yo. This s–t is wild.’ In my shows, I try to create that maximum energy level and have the people feel they can reach the highest level of ecstasy as far as being happy and free. And in those environments — things like wrestling, and even in sports where the characters can be so free and create this livelihood for kids, adults and families — it’s dope.
Uso: When I found out I was coming out with Travis, I asked him, ‘Are you ready? Because this s–t is about to pop off.’ I just didn’t expect that the brother was about to light one up before we walked out. He can do what he wants to do.
Fast-forward to present-day and Jey is gearing up to challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. As of this writing, it is the only match announcement for the show(s).
