The main event of WWE SmackDown saw LA Knight regain the WWE United States Championship.

Knight won the title from Shinsuke Nakamura, who had held it since Survivor Series in Vancouver on November 30th, 2024.

Before Friday, Nakamura had only defended the championship once, in a loss by disqualification to Knight on January 10th.

This marks Knight’s second run with the title, which he held for the first time after beating Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2024.

Elsewhere on SmackDown, Naomi admitted to Bianca Belair that she did indeed attack Jade Cargill.

Cody Rhodes cut an impassioned promo on John Cena after the events of Elimination Chamber.

Alba Fyre emerged in a hood to save Chelsea Green from certain defeat in a street fight with Michin.

Pretty Deadly won a triple-threat match to decide the number-one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
